'The Bulman' Sails Again

Kinsale Arts Week is delighted that 'The Bulman' is open for a special winter run after it's sell-out success at Kinsale Arts Week 2009. The play, written by Donal Hayes and performed by David Peare was produced especially for KAW under the directorship of Asylum Theatre's Donal Gallagher. This run of the play is produced by Asylum Theatre Company and will run this Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 3-5th December at The Lord Kingsale Inn, Kinsale. Tickets are only €8. Good luck guys!

It is 1860 and the trade routes between Cork and Italy are worked hard by a tall ship called the Bulman.  Butter and ham are sold and wine is bought in return.  One night, off the French coast, she hits a storm of epic proportions. The ship is saved but at what cost?  Death and redemption battle through the night but when the dawn comes and the fog lifts things will never be the same.

Part maritime yarn, part ghost story, the core of the tale is based on actual records of the Cork Harbour authorities.

Tickets available from Quay Foods.
